Fortress Dracula!

Here are the color and b&w versions of the cover to issue 5 of Dracula: Company of Monsters. I was iffy about being able to pull this cover off when I started. The concept of a sorcerous wood fortress seemed to me difficult to pull off but I think it ended up looking all right.

What do you think?

Dracula on a Rampage!

I saw the cover to Dracula: The Company of Monsters #4 is out now so I feel OK to finally show it. I think it's the best cover I've done so far. I hope you all like it.

Also, here's the b/w version of the art 'cause I think it gives you something a little bit different from the final coloured version.

Dracula in Chains!

I'm sitting here at my table working on sketches for a Dracula cover but I can't help but want to share the cover for Dracula-The Company of Monsters #2. As with the cover to #1 I think the colourist did a fantastic job making my art look good. As proof, I'm including the lineart on the right.

I'm really having a lot of fun working on these illustrations. I've been a Dracula fan since forever and the dark and intense nature of the character is perfect for my sensibilities. I hope you all agree.

Dracula - The Company of Monsters #2 from BOOM! Studios is available for preorder and will be out in all fine comic shops this September.

Dracula Lives!

One of the recent jobs, I did, a cover for BOOM! new series with awesome writer Kurt Busiek and fantastic artist Scott Godlewski. I'm doing the B cover to this series and the A covers are being done by Dan Brereton. Man, am I just name-dropping or what?

Anyway, take a look at that. Those colours make those lines look better than they have any right to.
